Engineers Without Borders
Yale Engineers Without Borders is an undergraduate chapter of a larger national organization, EWB-USA. We welcome students and professionals of all disciplines and experience levels. Our mission is to foster the creative and innovative application of engineering and multi-disciplinary skills in collaboration with stake holders to realize change and to improve the environment, health, and community capacity. Our current projects focus on water distribution in Honduran villages and campus biofuel production and research.

Freshmen Outdoor Orientation Trip
Currently in its twenty-third year, FOOT offers a unique wilderness experience to approximately 400 Yale freshmen each year. In late August, trained upperclassmen will lead backpacking trips in eight scenic locations throughout the Northeast. The trips return to Yale's campus on freshman move-in day, allowing students to move in with the rest of their classmates.

Harvest
Harvest is a pre-orientation program that takes groups of approximately 8 incoming freshmen and two upperclassmen leaders to camp, work, and play for a week on organic and sustainable farms in Connecticut. The program, which is affiliated with the Yale Sustainable Food Project, offers new students the opportunity to ease their transition into Yale life, make a great group of friends, learn about local organic and sustainable farming, eat delicious freshly-picked produce, and have the unique outdoor experience of working and relaxing in a beautiful rural environment.
